When my daughter graduated from RIT she moved into an apartment on the water in New Jersey. We decided she needed a boat, and a kayak made the most sense. As happens when you live on the water, a friend left his boat with her. So when I visited I tried it out and loved it. The friend moved away and left his boat behind. I'm still paddling that kayak! I have fallen in love. The peace, the sense of adventure, the feeling of being one with nature but (almost) in control! I joined the club a few years back so I could paddle more often, and boy has that been great! Last year I got roped into organizing a trip for the first time. This year I hope to do a few more. It seems only fair that I start to give back some of the joy other TC's have given me.
