We strive to provide all levels of trips for those who would like to learn more about paddling. PFDs (personal flotation devices) must be worn and properly fastened at all times while on the water, and wetsuits are advised on cold water trips in the spring and fall. We have a helpful paddlers check list of essential items for you to print out. It is important that paddlers know their level. Some trips are not for beginners or novices. Early spring trips generally require a higher skill level as the water is usually swift...and it is always very cold. (Check out the stream guage for more information.) Our trip calendar tries to describe the level of competence needed for each trip. If you are unsure, call the trip coordinator and be honest about your skills. It can be dangerous for you and others on the trip if you get into trouble and need to be rescued. |
